Livelihood Development Project in the Buffer Zone of Tràm Chim National Park

Since 1995, the project has targeted low-income families. Beginning with technical training in agriculture, aquaculture, livestock farming, small businesses, handicrafts, and local services.

Following this, small loans ranging from 50-100 USD were provided to apply the acquired knowledge. Supported by various sources including the embassies of the UK and Denmark in Vietnam, VHI, VNHELP, and individual Australians. Currently, the MCF is still supporting this project.

From 2020 to 2025, MCF will research and experiment with appropriate cultivation models for the coastal areas of the Mekong Delta in the direction of green, environmentally friendly production, and resilience to climate change and rising sea levels.
